Things on my Flist:

1. Sherlock. I can't actually watch it from Taiwan so I've been avoiding your joy. Out of spoiler fear (which is unwarranted; everyone cuts), and out of mad jealousy. It is so on the list of things I need to watch once I get back to the US.

2. Inception. Very... Vivian Vande Velde, thinking specifically of User Unfriendly and Heir Apparent (if that means anything to anyone, which, actually, it probably doesn't?). That means I love it, by the way. Meta-ing it out with Shyue in emails but... yeah. So much tighter than I'd expected. And obviously provoking because, oh em gee, so many views. Flist, you are lovely.

3. Aaaaaaand a meme that I'm too lazy to do. It's here if you want it. I'm going to assume it's good because half of you are doing it.

You know, even though I'm Stateside again, I still haven't seen either of these things. And I want to. Particularly Inception. Yum.

I actually wind up seeing more movies here than Stateside (ahaha I love this term. It's so much like 'planetside').

How goes the jet lag? And access to books in English?

Haaa, I'm a fan of it too (for... much the same reason).

I actually got over my jet lag remarkably quickly this time around. And yes, it feels good to be surrounded by my personal (overflowing!) library again. ♥

I'm jealous. My personal library isn't overflowing and I'd like it to be. Space constraints are a terrible excuse.

I was wondering, how often do you come over to this side of the world? You make it sound pretty frequent.

Aaaaand once more I fail at keeping track of threads I've posted in. *facepalm* But yeah, as a kid, I traveled a lot, since my dad's an academic and tends to go globetrotting for conferences and whatnot, and when I was younger, he'd take me with him. These days, I actively look for chances to get work and/or study experience in Asia, since I'd ideally like to study international arbitration (with a China/East Asia focus) in law school. Or something of that sort. So I did an intensive language immersion program through Princeton last summer, which brought me to Beijing for eight weeks. And this summer, I had the Nanjing internship for about the same amount of time.

What about you? Travel much? :)
