Director stressed "pitch, not volume"
...For once, my entry isn't "OMG CRUUUUUSHED! atleastistillhavemads"
That's a good thing.
I usually audition terribly. What's a chromatic scale sound like again? That one was especially sad because I'd learned chromatic before normal scales and erugh. Mm, the time really makes a difference. Being the first school as opposed to the last... the judges weren't so dead and actually had good scores left to give. Audition last really sucks. I don't know if I'll get in (Soprano II, and my voice cracked on my low scale. there is no hope), but at least for once there's a chance. Sares was really broken up about her tonal, but she's probably good for the other things. Plus she usually has pitch and is an Alto II. Much better odds.
EDIT: i got in. *victory dance*
I beat the cut-off score by 20 points too. That's. That's really cool. Tonal pulled me through - full score! And apparently the Soprano Tonals were extra hard to weed out people because there are always too many. Sares got in too. I say she's never allowed to moan again. Ever. Seriously, woman.
