But only if you have time and all, of course

I have a Mole Day project due Monday. Anyone have any ideas?
EDIT: Has to be on theme "Moles-go-round". Yeah... right.

Also, for Web Design, I need to make a 6 page webthingy on some topic. Examples are cars and baseball. I don't really want to do either. I'm afraid Color Theory won't last for 6 whole pages

Finally, English. I need to write about what's wrong with the school, probably more specificly the English Dep. I was thinking summer reading. Opinions?

's it. Yup. -_-

Hm, actually that was short. Ah well

Also: Hah! I'm updating at Nine!

Make guacaMOLE. Food makes everyone happier.

Something with a lot of images so you don't have to write so much stuff. Why don't you do tropical fish? That could be fun. Start with <a href="http://animaldiversity.ummz.umich.edu/site/accounts/information/Pterois_volitans.html>Pterois volitans</a>, the red lionfish. Or you should do Recommended Books. And make a whole list of books everyone should read. OR you should make an ANIME COLLAGE. Or an RP COLLAGE where you cut snippets from RPs and paste them together in a nonsensical jumble. Or you can, uh, catalogue Jelly Belly jelly beans. That they don't read Terry Pratchett.

I suck at life. And it ate my comment. Wah. It was such a long one too. In short:

-Fish
-COLLAGE OF COOLNESS
-Diagrams of skeletons of various types of animals
-reading list
-Care Bears

-lack of Pterry
-not enough extra credit

You do not suck at life. *patpat* LJ might, though

What's a "guacaMOLE"? It's some kind of food? -_- forgot to mention project must follow theme "Moles-go-round". No idea. Food is good. + no evidence.

COLLAGE OF COOLNESS? :D Afraid don't know too much about Care Bears. Lots of pictures is a good idea. ^^ Reading list... if I can get away with it.

:DDDD Lack of PTerry! That's it! Teacher isn't a fan of fiction though... :( Gr. We should have more choices, more time (longer vacations), choose whether we want to do book reports, essays, or orals pres, be allowed to do whatever we want, and not do any thing at all.

Guacamole is this dip made of avocadoes. You can put it in some sort of circular container. Or you could arrange chips on a plate in a donut shape and put the guacamole in the center... (XD unless they save a piece!! Or photgraph it!!)

Er... a collage of something cool, I guess XD.

GOOD! See, you do have essay topic!

That's so neat! Guacamole in circles with chips arranged like Bohrs Modle thing. Which atom, though... Is it hard to make?

XD Ah, I see.

I'm probably not allowed to say most of those things... *is struck by inspiration!* Ack!

Depends on which recipe you go with. :) Should be easy though. Worst comes to worst, you just smash up some avocadoes and add some salt and onions.

My mom really loves that idea. Which atom to do, though? I think mole is mostly based of carbon, right? (Most things are)

Thank you! ^___^ Is really helpful. And easy too.

From: [identity profile] lily22.livejournal.com
Er... I forgot. I know amu are based off carbon, but moles...?

Might as well go with carbon though. Carbon is goood. :)

(Take pictures! :D)

Called my aunt about a sushi/pizza pan. Now I just need to be sure I'm allowed to bring in food and stuff. If I make it a carbon atom, does that mean I only need to bring in 18 chips?

Mm... carbon...

(^^ I will. And load them someday too)

One chip per student! :)

(yay! How did it go?)

^^;; Teacher said I could bring in a bowl of chips especially for eating!

(It's not due until Monday)

Yay, lol!

...Right, because 10/23 would be mole day, not like... 10/14. Way to go, team me!

From: [identity profile] crystal-sun396.livejournal.com
Yeah, because we have around 30 people in our class. (that's 18/30, divide both by 6, that's 3/5...) 2/5 of the class wouldn't get any.

:D Then again, Monday isn't really near Mole Day, either. We're tye-dying (<-- ha ha "dying" [<-- so mature])Mole T-shirts Tuesday! Chem is so cool! ^__^

Date: 2005-10-15 08:15 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lily22.livejournal.com
LOL. That... wouldn't be good. Aww.

LOL. I think that would be dyeing? :DDD

Wait a sec, we never got to do that. T_T

From: [identity profile] crystal-sun396.livejournal.com
Maybe everyone could just eat part of a chip? (18/30 which is 3/5 so) Everyone could just eat 3/5ths of a chip? XD

^^ Yep, probably. Has done it. And has pictures. Will download them after I feed my starving camera. And post them and all that good stuff. Come to think of it, I owe a lot of people pics from my camera... o_O

T_T *patpat* Another thing you can tell your school.

"We need to show our appreciation for all things science! We ought to celebrate Mole Day every year! Make it a grand occasion. With T-shirts to remember it by. Perhaps we could tye-dye them? Strengthen the student/teacher bond?" ^_~

Date: 2005-10-17 08:46 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lily22.livejournal.com
But how would you divide it into fifths like that?

Ooooooh neat. :DDDDDD *excited*

LOL. xD Plus tie-dye is very... chemistry-related!

From: [identity profile] crystal-sun396.livejournal.com
Scissors? Teeth? XD

Will get on with it one of these days

That's absolutely right! All that multicolored liquid in beakers and things - it has to be chemistry!

Oh, would you say "where their talents lie" or "where their talents lay"?

Date: 2005-10-24 11:16 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lily22.livejournal.com
Ewww. It would all just crumble, I'd think.

:D Excellent.

Right! On our mole day we made Kool-aid in beakers. See? Chemicals. We calculated the molarity and everything.

Is this past or present tense?

Date: 2005-10-30 11:24 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] crystal-sun396.livejournal.com
Yup, unless it was all soggy from being on the guacamole.

I need to feed my camera before I upload those pics. It finally passed out today and I missed out on a gorgous pictue of the sky that it wouldn't have been able to capture anyway, it being so dark.

... We have a scienec rule, goes like this: Don't drink anything out of a beaker. You're class sounds very daring. We had a mole lab on that day which involoved popcorn kernals and various candies. I think I did badly on that lab... (not paying attention)

I don't suppose it matters anymore. Still, which was which?

Date: 2005-11-06 04:05 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lily22.livejournal.com
Right. You'd have to put it separately or something.

But the picture shall always be in your mind!

...That's a pretty good rule. Right on up there with don't steal the teacher's posters.

What were we talking about? o_o

From: [identity profile] crystal-sun396.livejournal.com
o_o ...I either just got the alert for this, or I just ignored my inbox too much. And yes, I really do need to reply to something so old it nearly has no relevance. Because.

I did, stuck the chips in a plastic bag and everything. I got a 98 on that project - more than what I expected after seeing all the other, much cooler stuff done.

:D Yay! Or not, because I can't for the life of me remember what kind of sky I was so hung up about anyway.

Why would someone want to steal their teacher's posters?

Where their talents lay/lie. Not that that matters anymore.

That sounds hard. *prods brain*

A mole mobile/decoration thing to hang from the ceiling? XD;; *lame*

Something about mythology for a webthingy? Or maybe newts?

I like the idea of focusing on summer reading and presentation options. People should be given the opportunity to present projects in whatever way would display their strengths? *ponders*

Good luck with everything!

Date: 2005-10-13 07:19 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] crystal-sun396.livejournal.com
Ooh! Are you online?!

^_^ Thanks. The mole mobile thing isn't lame; there have been worse. Hm...

Mythology would certainly have enough material... ^^ One of my other friends said newts too. *adds to list again*

Oh yes! I like the way you put it. Thank you!

*nodnod* I'll have to get off soon(-ish) to catch the bus, but right now I am. (Which means that I'll hopefully be able to finish replying to your PM and send it~ X3;; Finally. *sheepish grin*)

Phew. XD *reassured?* I like Lily's guacamole idea. Food is useful and can be fun. *redundant* Hmm, 'moles-go-round' makes me think of those 'whack a mole' games. Or maybe contagious moles? *weird* <--- not helpful. *ponders* Maybe you could do something to do with spies/moles.

I used to be obsessed with Norse mythology. *dork* Newts would be interesting, and you could get lots of pictures, right?

No problem! ^__^

*scampers off to check*

hee, Spy!mole. Trenchcoat and dark glasses. So cute! Mum liked the mobile idea too. I wonder if there's a way to combine all these ideas together... (end up with something from the Dungion of Dimensions: cross between octopus and bicycle)

Litsares was really into Norse mythology as well. I haven't really gotten into it, but it's interesting. Currently it's between Color Theory and Newts, I think.

:D
