Or the bits of life which are school. (More than there should be)

Today, was, in a word and its modifier, rather awesome. Academics play quite a large role in this (definitely not the only player, but the only one mentioned in this entry), particularly the returning of midterm scores. For one thing, I was not murdered in Spanish. As much as in previous years, that is. Major hurdle #1 crossed with only light bruising – an 86 which I am very grateful for. No longer does Spanish hold the position of most struggle-worthy midterm – this place moves, unsurprisingly, to APUSH where I received an 83. Am not grateful for this, but neither am I miserable. For it is APUSH.

As far as other conquests go, my Chemistry was 95, English was a 98 and my Math was 100. Also received a brief (and private) aside from my English teacher where I was not scolded for my procrastination in Forensics (a talk-to for which I am, unfortunately, long overdue) but rather praised for my essay writings skillz0rs (my words, not hers). The word "exquisite" was used, which probably should not amuse me so much as it does. Somewhat surprised and, naturally, terribly pleased. This woman’s opinion matters a great deal to me.

The first day of a new semester. Web Design is over (ahah, going to bury my site and never look at it again. Except maybe for the flash movie) and has been replaced by Graphic Arts. If you have not yet heard the details of this class, I shall only mention these few very noteworthy ones: the classroom has Bat Soap. And Bat Towels (they are paper and look ordinary, but it is probably only in the same way Bruce Wayne looks ordinary). A dark room. And many many shiny Macs 1.

The unfortunate side affect: not longer are [livejournal.com profile] inkydu and [livejournal.com profile] windupthinker at the lunch table or even in that lunch period. At least I still have [livejournal.com profile] sandanzuki. We shall have to be masters of that end of the table without the aid of our comrades.

1 Shall seize the opportunity to pimp out [livejournal.com profile] googlebrat’s Cybersex fic, also called Networking and not nearly as dirty as it sounds. It is long, but PWNS, man. This woman? She is, in an understatement, very cool. And the story? Is so worth it.

EDIT: Oh, and sorry if is silent a lot. Really am busy, just avoiding work for a sec. Owe people comments (and PMs and apps), I know.

EDIT: And HAPPY BIRTHDAY [livejournal.com profile] seamonkey64!!!

Crazy grades. XD You did so well!! *huggles*

My English teacher in grade 12 called my essays 'concise'. To me, that was only because I would state things out and then have nothing else to write. I had the hardest time reaching word counts. XDXD
But he didn't seem to care... o_O

...I miss having an art class. D:
