WARNING: This is long. And not that interesting

Went to a friends Sweet Sixteen where there was dancing, screaming, and going deaf in one ear (the left for me, the right for [livejournal.com profile] inkydu). [livejournal.com profile] litsares and [livejournal.com profile] sandanzuki weren't there for backup because they were originally going to have a Forensics meet. And by the time it was canceled, they had managed to escape.

Anyway, has (re)learned how to dance (sort of - it's a kind of spaz-thing), which... might someday be a useful skill? (Haha) And there was a bubble machine on top of the whirly-rainbow-lights machine! Was a very pretty combination and mostly danced next to it so was able to look. However, was also located right above the speakers so... yeah. Ouch. BirthdayGirl played a song on the flute and was generally amazing (and she looked like princess, no joke. Tiara, ball gown, the works. Very pretty.) Met her younger cousin who was adorable (and knew a lot of the rather vulgar lyrics to the songs being played) (and could dance better than me), her older cousin (who was beautiful and could also dance amazingly well) and her older cousin's friend (Ditto here).

The tables had sparklies on them (like at graduation, only they were stars and moons, not ♣ ♠ ♦ and ♥) and they were shiny. So stole a whole bunch. (Oy, Sares? Would Hayes like some?) Table where sat at (was seated at, really) had only one other girl and the next table down was all boys, so it was awkward at first. But only at first, because then we all started discussing handhelds, and how they ought to come standard with a blade inside. And then the conversation moves (in a surprisingly logical manner) to Ms. Chemteacher's awesome chem songs and why the H2O song should or should not be considered heart-rendering. And one boy turns to me and informs me I Ought to Open Up a Window (earlier I swear I heard him exclaiming "sig figs" at his friend out of the blue. Why is it that I barely know this person?). So I treated everyone to one stanza of Violin, parts of Egg, and of course, Sit Down John. And then conversation is cut for food and sparkle hunting (but only in my case)

This is slightly more interesting, but not really.

Ended at eleven and Mum drove FriendD home (she taught me the foot motions for "cha-cha"-ing). The sky was nearly the same exact color as the ground (and the trees, and the houses, etc) and, if it wasn’t for the occasional headlights, could well believe we were alone in the world. Was going well except there was a car in the driveway and it was snowing very very hard (was… around four inches then, but still snowing like a snow globe thing if held by one of the people spazzing on the dance floor). Mum had brought my snow boots (which clashed wonderfully with my dress, I may need to try that again) but FriendD had sandals (with uber scary heels of DOOM). So I basically shuffled a path through the snow for her and felt very gentlemanly. She snuck in without waking her parents. All would have been well if it had just ended there, but of course, it didn't.

The car got stuck, all sorts of odd things that this would entail occurred, and we had to go wake FriendD's parents anyway (who sleep at 10 o_O) to move their car or promise not to sue us when it got crashbanged into. A kaboom was avoided, an innocent rug abused, and eventually we managed to leave. Overall it took more than an hour, so was around one when got back. All the picture I tried to take with flash ended up with bright white dots in the front. Is slightly sad about this, as night was really rather pretty.

And I finally joined [livejournal.com profile] afterlife_rp yesterday! Yay

Nono, it's like (and this is a terrible metaphor simile) when you are having a baby? And then after giving birth, it's all hooray, baby's out, work is done? And then the baby is still there? Now that she's here, I need to actually use her. >_>

ROFL That's the most interesting simile I've seen for this kind of thing.

Ochi, that Urahara person is ready to meet with us. Or me, I suppose. How about coming to dinner? I'm paying.
