This post is full of whining :(

1. My total GPA just broke the 3.6 line. That's right, in the wrong direction. I did mention I was doing poorly this semester, didn't I? I'm more afraid of my cousin's disappointment than my own.

Why do I even bother with ambitions? It's not like they motivate me. Supremely unmotivated, me.

2. In only moderately related news, I am tired of being my current self and am ready to try pretending to be someone else. You know, again. Because it seems I've turned into that guy I never liked anyway, and I've nearly forgotten why I love the things I do which was the whole point of the weirdo I am trying out at the moment.

Hm, whining. Hopefully you'll see less of this. I'm too old to get my teenage angst on. Thank goodness it's summer.

3. I apparently need to read more 17th century poetry. Or just poetry in general, but I was just recommended the whole of the 17th century. Should keep me busy.

Oh, also this: Song on the End of the World - Czeslaw Milosz. Not related to anything in particular. I... like this guy's stuff? I don't know.

And those who expected lightning and thunder
Are disappointed.

1. *sympathetic face*
a) as has already been said, three point whatever is nothing to sneeze at.

b) You're right of course. In GPA-lifting efforts, do not even bother with ambitions. Bother with medical and med school related media with exceedingly competent doctors while pushing yourself as much as possible towards borderline-unhealthy imitative behavior :)
i. Ambition in and of itself is supremely unhelpful to all but the most bonafide of Slytherins.

3. The seventeenth century had proto-communists called 'Diggers,' and this crazy, possibly orgy-friendly creed called 'Ranters,' and everybody* believed the End Times were upon them, and much epic poetry was written to figure out if God would smite you for drawing a picture of him.** You probably should check it out.

Also, HI ^_^ <----(different kind of smiley from point 1-b <-------(states the obvious))

* gross exaggeration.
** gross misrepresentation.

I'm still adjusting my sleep schedule to Not Awake During the Night Time. Yesterday was the first time I made the 10am-10pm stretch without a nap.

Um. I would ask the same of you, but you can be more reliably prevailed upon to actually post, so I feel like it's kind of unnecessary...

Also, I re-watched Monster's Inc two days ago, and that movie is pretty heartbreaking when you watch it through the slash-goggles.
